This 20' Diameter by 33'
deep auger cast pile shoring system is in the middle of the
intersection of Beale and 4th in downtown Memphis. This system was
designed and built by Chris-Hill to support a live electrical duct
bank through the shoring system while excavation took place beneath.
A series of poured in place concrete compression rings provided
internal bracing as the digging went deeper. Once the 8' diameter
sewer was tapped, precast structures provided both sewer and manhole
access. |
